Dr. Vassilis Sideropoulos

Interdisciplinary Researcher | Expert in Mental Health, Neurodiversity & Open Science | Research Strategy & Innovation Leader

I am an experienced researcher specialising in mental health, neurodiversity, and open research. With a PhD in Psychology and Education, my work bridges epidemiology, digital health, and social care research, focusing on creating impactful, inclusive, and data-driven solutions for underrepresented populations.

Currently based at UCL’s Institute of Education, I have spent over a decade leading interdisciplinary research projects, securing competitive grants, and shaping institutional and national research strategies. My expertise spans across meta-analysis, evidence synthesis, and co-production methodologies, with a strong commitment to open research and methodological transparency.

Currently, I am

Co-leding international and national studies on neurodivergent mental health, anxiety, and education, managing cross-institutional collaborations.
Serving as a Board Member for UKRI’s Research Capital Fund, shaping funding strategies for research infrastructure.
Actively contributing to UCL’s Digital Strategy Committee, supporting innovations in research and digital transformation.
Advocating for reproducibility, transparency, and equitable access in academia through my role as Open Research Training Lead at UCL.

I am always open to collaborations, consultancy, and speaking engagements on topics related to mental health research, neurodiversity, digital health, and open science methodologies.
